An Alabama mother has been convicted of sexually abusing her daughter and stepdaughter. She was sentenced to 723 years in prison by an Alabama judge on Monday.
Lisa Marie Lesher, 41, was sentenced by Morgan County Judge Stephen F. Brown. Lesher, used to live in Falkville, Alabama was convicted by Morgan County Jury on Oct. 1, 2020, of two counts of first-degree rape, for a count of first-degree sodomy, one count of second-degree sodomy, one count of sexual torture, and one count of first-degree sexual abuse, WIAT television station reported.
“Lisa Lesher was sentenced to 723 years in this case, and she deserved every day of it. Justice has been served, this was one of the worst cases of child sexual abuse I’ve ever seen and once it was brought to my attention, we went to work on bringing these two monsters to justice,” Anderson said.
“The victims suffered for years living with these monsters and have suffered from the consequences of their actions over a decade, the sentence, in this case, was well deserved and gives the victims a sense of closure.” further added Assistant District Attorney Courtney Schellack.
Lesher and her husband, Michael sexually abused two girls over for several years at a home in Falkville. WREG reported that the case was first reported in 2007, but was reported after for prosecution at the request of victims after D.D. Anderson took office.
Michael William Lesher, 53 was sentenced last year for 438 years in an Alabama penitentiary for his part in raping, sodomizing, and sexually abusing two children when he was with his wife, Lisa Lesher.
